Ann Haycock lives and works as an artist in Cornwall. She, like many other artists, was drawn to making her home in the area by the Cornish environment and culture.
The starting point for much of her work is in a direct response to a material and its articulation and transformation of that material. Her practice encompasses time based, site specific, deconstruction /reconstruction and process based work.
Often her work could be described as using material and methods of making that could be considered as female.
Ann Haycock is particularly interested in making site specific work within the Cornish, landscape and collaborating with other local contemporary artists.
